Stephanie Carpino, Barrie & Orillia

Stephanie is a registered Indigenous social worker with Family TLC. Stephanie is a compassionate and eager therapist ready to support her clients with goals and strategies to help make their lives better. Stephanie has completed her bachelor’s of Indigenous social work at Laurentian University her MSW at Laurentian University.

If you find yourself struggling with life’s overwhelming demands that leave you feeling stressed or anxious, or if you are struggling with substance abuse or a traumatic event, asking for support is a brave first step. Seeking help from a mental health professional is the first step to begin your healing journey and to creating balance within your mental health. You and Stephanie will work together and explore any imbalances that may be contributing to mental health struggles, and together seek out coping strategies that will restore balance to your mental health. 

Stephanie has also completed her Child and Youth Worker diploma from Georgian College (2013) and has 8 years’ experience working with children in the Simcoe County District School Board. Stephanie will work alongside your child in a non-judgmental space, while guiding them on their holistic healing journey. (ages 8 and up).

Stephanie uses Indigenous healing approaches, which are similar to holistic healing practices, empowerment techniques, Narrative therapy and strengths-based approaches. She works alongside you, while creating a non-judgmental atmosphere and displaying empathy and she accompanies you on your healing journey.
