Sam is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) at Family TLC and seeks to continue providing psychotherapy services to individuals, couples and families. She has experience working and volunteering within the mental health and addictions field in a variety of settings ranging from perinatal support services, women’s residential shelters, community mental health and a mental health hospital.
Sam has a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology from Yorkville University, a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from Laurentian University and Post-Graduate Certificate in Addictions: Treatment and Prevention from Georgian College. She attends trainings and workshops often to inform her practice, recently being a guest at workshops for pregnant individuals, seniors and 2SLGBTQ+ folks.
She is passionate about supporting individuals coming to therapy through challenging times and life transitions. Whether you are experiencing anxiety, depression, a new addition to your family, parenting struggles, grief, addiction concerns, or adjusting to new roles, Sam seeks to meet you where you are at, being a witness to your strengths and your journey. Sam utilizes evidence-based, eclectic therapeutic approaches such as person-centred therapy, cognitive behaviour therapy, solutions focused therapy to assist individuals collaboratively in reaching goals and overall wellness.
