Nicole Reason, Registered Social Worker
Nicole Reason is a registered social worker working with Family TLC. Nicole is passionate about creating a strong therapeutic alliance that is the key to making lives better. Nicole uses honesty, compassion, and empathy to support clients to develop the strategies and confidence that are crucial to overcoming life’s challenges.
Nicole is a registered social worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and a member of the Ontario Association of Social Workers. She holds a graduate degree from the University of Windsor specializing in health and mental health, an undergraduate honors degree in Social Work from Lakehead University with a minor in criminology, and also a diploma in Social Service Work from Georgian College.
Nicole’s work focuses on assessing psychosocial strengths through a Wholisitic framework that focuses on all aspects of a person’s wellbeing. Using Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) techniques, Nicole supports people to better understand the connection between one’s thoughts, feelings, and behaviours. Nicole also utilizes strengths-based and solution focused therapy techniques, along with play therapy techniques to support each unique person. Her approach is tailored for each individual and is effective for people facing a number of life challenges.
Nicole is currently working alongside children, teenagers, and individuals over 16 on their journey to overcoming life challenges and living a satisfying and fulfilling life.
