Nalin Bisnath is a graduate of York University (BA in Psychology) and Yorkville University with a MA in Counselling Psychology, is a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario and a member in good standing with the Ontario Association of Mental Health Professionals (OAMHP). After working for 25 years in the biopharmaceutical industry she decided to pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a psychotherapist. Using Goethe as her inspiration, ” If we take people as they are, we make them worse. If we treat them as if they were what the ought to be, we help them to become what they are capable of becoming”. Nalin Believes that life happens and sometimes we need a little help along the way.
Her approach to therapy encompasses a mindful and compassionate stance in conjunction with a non-judgmental attitude in order to facilitate the therapeutic process. Her main goal is to assist individuals in not only realizing their potential but improving the quality of their lives. Nalin is interested in counselling individuals from a variety of cultural and religious backgrounds but is well versed in Eastern philosophy practices (yoga and mindfulness meditation practices). She is also passionate about reducing the stigma attached to mental health therapy
