Kailtin Coker is a Registered Social Worker at Family TLC. She holds a Master of Social Work (MSW) from the University of Toronto and is a member of the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW) and Ontario Association of Social Workers.
Kaitlin has experience working with clients experiencing anxiety, depression, child behaviour, ADHD/ADD, self-esteem, relationship struggles, trauma, emotions and self-identity.
Kaitlin is well versed in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Mindfulness Techniques, Play Therapy techniques, Solution-Focused Therapy and Strengths-Based Therapy. She has taken courses on Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, Mental Health First Aid, and Holds a CBT Practitioners Certification.
She is deeply passionate about mental health and supporting individuals through life’s challenges, particularly children, adolescents, and young adults. Her approach is client-centered and rooted in empathy, focusing on creating a safe, non-judgmental space where clients can feel heard and understood. Outside of therapy, Kaitlin is committed to self-care and well-being. She enjoys playing tennis, watching movies, and spending time with her two dogs. In her free time, she prioritizes continuous learning and professional development to ensure she stays informed on the latest therapeutic techniques and approaches, allowing herself to provide the best possible support to clients. Kaitlin is here to walk alongside clients, helping them navigate through their struggles and grow into their strengths.
