Ilan Strauch is a Registered Psychotherapist with the College of Registered Psychotherapists of Ontario (CRPO) and counsellor at Family TLC. He holds a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology degree that he earned from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago, Illinois. He also holds two undergraduate degrees, a specialized Honours Bachelor of Arts with a major in psychology, and a Bachelor of Education degree, both from York University in Toronto.
Ilan’s practice focuses mostly on individuals and couples. For over a decade, he has assisted people as they navigate the stress of life and the negative impact of that stress, ranging from depression and anxieties to relationship difficulties and various responses to trauma.
Grounded in Adlerian theory, Ilan’s approach to mental health incorporates a number of modalities and methods, including cognitive-behavioural, psychodynamic, systems, and artistic approaches, among others. His work with clients is based on mutual respect, is non-judgmental and collaborative, and takes into account all aspects of a person’s life and well-being.
Ilan enjoys being a part of the Family TLC team that services the Simcoe County community.
