Chelsea is a psychotherapy practicum student at Family TLC. She is in the final semester of her Master’s in Counselling Psychology program through Yorkville University. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sociology from Laurentian University and a Social Service Worker diploma from Fanshawe College. Chelsea is a Registered Social Service Worker with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers (OCSWSSW), and she holds a membership with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association (CCPA).
For the past ten years, Chelsea has worked in the field of social work helping vulnerable populations in various government programs. Her therapeutic approach is rooted in cognitive behavioural therapy, mindfulness, narrative, and Gestalt therapy.
Genuine, non-judgemental, and empathetic by nature, Chelsea is passionate about helping people overcome some of life’s most difficult struggles. Chelsea believes in resiliency and the power of change when we’re given the right tools and a safe place to heal.
