Family TLC has been providing mental health services in the Barrie and surrounding Simcoe County area for over 10+ years! Starting in a small office located in the downtown core of Barrie, to now being in our beautiful historic house space located on Bradford Street.
Our therapists and staff have had the ultimate pleasure assisting individuals, couples, children and families both in person as well as virtually.
At Family TLC we believe everyone deserves a fresh start and we’re here to help people in an around Barrie gain insight into life lessons and learn crucial skills that are needed to achieve peace and balance through the unpredictable storms of life. Our team wants to work with you to create a plan that will help you work towards achieving your goals and make your life better!
Due to the structural constraints of the buildings we are presently renting, we are unable to offer in-person services to those whom need accessible entranceways or elevators. As a result, we provide alternative options such as virtual or telephone services, ensuring that they are equally effective.

Rachel Hilton
Barrie, ON
Rachel works with children, teens, and adult individuals to discover their strengths and supports with creating and maintaining helpful thinking patterns and healthy behavioural habits. These strategies help to address (but not limited to) anxiety, depression, stress, post-traumatic stress, anger management, substance use, eating disorders, self-harm, grief, self-esteem, and self-image.
Ilan Strauch
Virtual & Barrie
Ilan’s practice focuses mostly on individuals and couples. For over a decade, he has assisted people in and around Barrie as they navigate the stress of life and the negative impact of that stress, ranging from depression and anxieties to relationship difficulties and various responses to trauma.
Sue Cook
Owner & Operator of Family TLC
Sue focuses in marriage, separation and divorce, parenting, play therapy and Indigenous counselling.
Sue shares her separation and divorce skills, knowledge and abilities through her teaching of other mental health professionals, lawyers and financial specialist.
