Adelle Volpone is a Registered Social Worker at Family TLC. She holds a graduate degree in Social Work from York University and an undergraduate degree in Social Work from Ryerson University. She was a recipient of the Buddhist Compassion Foundation Award for her demonstrated commitment to marginalized and vulnerable populations as well as a two time recipient of the Harry A. Newman Award for leadership and academic standing.
Adelle began her career in 2005 in the children’s mental health field providing service to at risk youth as well as families of children diagnosed with autism. Adelle has also worked in the not for profit sector as an individual, couple and family therapist and as a youth justice counsellor. In addition, Adelle has experience as a clinical supervisor providing supervision to students and seasoned therapists alike.
Adelle practices from an anti-oppressive framework and always works collaboratively with clients taking into account their life experiences and strengths. Adelle’s practice focuses on youth, couples, and families who have been impacted by depression, anxiety, and issues relating to parenting, communication, relationships and behavioural concerns.
Many different modalities and therapeutic frameworks have contributed to Adelle’s approach including: cognitive behavioural therapy, solution focussed brief therapy, narrative therapy, systems theory and attachment theory.
